Assessment quality

Coverage and context

Assessment design should identify the elements being sampled, question formats, technical context and reference framework. A generic FMEA question must not be presented as proof of proficiency in proprietary edition-specific rating tables.

Content and source review

Sources, editions and permissions matter. Questions should have a defensible answer or rubric, clear wording and sufficient information for the task. Source-linked content is not automatically publisher-approved or independently validated.

Content can be withheld while review is pending. Publication, review history and operational test checks do not by themselves establish psychometric validation.

Scoring and interpretation

  • Objective items use the applicable answer rules, tolerances or partial-credit scheme.
  • A pending written response must not be silently counted as a verified final result.
  • Learning completion is not equivalent to observed workplace competence.
  • Reassessment comparisons may be affected by question reuse, changed versions and different contexts.

Corrections and appeals

Report unclear wording, a suspected scoring issue or an inaccessible item with the topic, attempt reference and a description of the issue. Do not post unreleased questions or another learner’s answers publicly. Where a correction affects outcomes, the response should explain what changed and why.
