Define interfaces before procurement

Questions to carry into a BESS technical scope.

Define the boundaries

Identify what the proposed supplier scope includes and excludes. Consider the battery system, conversion equipment, controls, electrical infrastructure, civil works and relevant site interfaces.

Assign responsibilities

Clarify who supplies information, performs studies, coordinates approvals, installs equipment and prepares test evidence. An interface register can make these questions visible without assuming one contractor owns every activity.

Specify acceptance evidence

Agree the documents, inspections and tests needed for review before handover. Distinguish a vendor declaration from independent test evidence and project-specific acceptance.

Track clarification

Keep a controlled list of questions, responses, deviations and unresolved points. Revisit the project scope when a clarification changes a boundary or acceptance expectation.

Applying this to your project

Project-specific advice requires a defined scope, verified inputs and the involvement of the responsible competent parties.
