  • Reviewing and approving the manuscript before submission.
  • Disclosing potential conflicts of interest.

03 - Acknowledgment of Contributions

Individuals who contribute to the research but do not meet the criteria for authorship should be acknowledged in the Acknowledgments section. Examples include:

  • Administrative assistance.
  • Funding acquisition or general supervision.

04 - Changes to Authorship

Adding or Removing Authors

Requests to add or remove authors after submission must:

  • Be submitted in writing by the corresponding author.

  • Be approved by all authors, including the individual being added or removed.

Authorship disputes will be addressed by the editorial team in consultation with relevant parties, adhering to guidelines from the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

05 - Group Authorship

For large collaborative projects, group authorship is acceptable if:

  • The group’s contribution is clearly defined.
  • A representative author takes responsibility for the manuscript on behalf of the group.

06 - Contributions Statement

Authors must include a Contributions Statement in the manuscript detailing individual roles. For example:

  • Conceptualization: A.B., C.D.

07 - Ethical Considerations

  • Gift Authorship: Including individuals who did not contribute significantly is prohibited.
  • Ghost Authorship: Failing to credit individuals who made significant contributions is unethical.
  • Dual Submission: Authors must ensure the manuscript is not under review elsewhere.

08 - Violations and Consequences

Violations of the authorship policy may result in:

  • Rejection of the manuscript during submission or review.
  • Retraction of published articles if violations are discovered post-publication.
  • Notification of the author’s institution or funding agency in severe cases.

09 - Transparency and Accountability

The journal encourages authors to use tools like ORCID iDs to ensure clear and consistent attribution of their contributions.
